Three struck dead by lightning in Vizianagaram district

Visakhapatnam, May 22:

Heavy rain lashed Visakhapatnam on Saturday under the influence of the cyclone circulation over Bay of Bengal.
The rain accompanied by gale and lightning disrupted power supply in various parts of the city for over two hours.
Meanwhile , in the neighbouring district of
Vizianagaram, three persons died due lightning at Chintada village.
The low pressure area formed under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Southeast and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal is very likely to concentrate into a depression over east-central Bay of Bengal by Sunday morning. It is very likely to move north-northwest wards, intensify into a cyclonic storm by Monday and further into a very severe cyclonic storm. It will continue to move north-northwest wards, intensify further and reach north Bay of Bengal near West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha and Bangladesh coasts. It is very likely to cross West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha and Bangladesh coasts by May 26, according to the weather office in the city.
