Pawan should question BJP about special category status for AP

Kakinada, April 5:

Affirming that YSRCP victory in the ensuing MPTC, ZPTC elections is a foregone conclusion, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu said Pawan Kalyan should question BJP on Special Status, privatisation of Visakha Steel Plant and promises made in AP Reorganisation Act.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the Minister criticised Pawan Kalyan for not questioning its electoral ally the BJP over the special status for Andhra Pradesh or privatisation of VSP. The Minister said that all should recall that it was the same Mr Pawan Kalyan for supporting BJP today had once likened the special package announced by BJP for AP to a packet of stale laddus. He flayed Mr Kalyan for trying to whip up the Hindu sentiments by falsely alleging that the State government was behind the vandalising of temples. It was TDP that demolished over 40 temples in Vijayawada city during its regime. The Minister said that YSRCP would continue the winning streak by sweeping both ZPTC and MPTC elections, as people had total faith in Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s good governance. Referring to the TDP boycotting of the MPTC, ZPTC elections, the Minister said that former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision just reflected his fear of losing once again, thus he was staying away from polls.
Responding to the comments over YS Viveka’s murder case, Mr Kannababu said that CBI was investigating the case and the State government was not connected with it as the issue falls under the jurisdiction of Central Government. He said that it was Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who ordered for a CBI enquiry on the matter concerned and also wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister seeking a thorough investigation. The Minister also recalled that the incident took place during TDP government and Mr Naidu said that he would not allow the CBI to investigate.
