King rescued in Srikakulam

As India grapples with a devastating Covid-19 second wave, snake saviors of the Eastern Ghats Wildlife Society (EGWS) are committed to saving the King Cobras and are helping people in remote rural areas of the Eastern Ghats taking all the safety precautions! An approximately 12 feet long King Cobra was rescued from a village in Srikakulam district and safely released into the wild after informing the local forest department personnel. Citizens need not panic and should behave responsibly during these challenging times, said founder of the society Murthy Kantimahanti.
