IT industry representatives meet Purandeswari, seek support for incubation centre

Top representatives from the IT industry on Saturday met BJP national general secretary D. Purandeswari to discuss the issues pertaining to the IT sector in Andhra Pradesh, which needed consideration of the Union Government.
Among others, M. Lakshmi, managing director of Patra India BPO, IT Association of AP (ITAAP) president Kosaraju Sridhar, his predecessor R.L. Narayana and Rushikonda IT Park Association vice-president O. Naresh Kumar explained to her on the need to strengthen ecosystem in tier-two and three locations like Vijayawada, Tirupati and Rajahmundry for encouraging investment in IT sector.
They represented to Ms. Purandeswari, for Union Minister, on couple of issues including STPI (Software Technology Park of India) incubation center, IBPS (India BPO Promotion Scheme) related concerns.
They also sought reduction of bandwidth charges and asked her to take up the issues with Union Minister for IT Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Ms. Purandeswari was MP from Visakhapatnam during 2009-14.
