About Us

We are the good guys

The Information Age has exploded into the era of Influencers, the time of trends. If you are not setting a trend you have to be part of one, or people are going to call you a loser. One way or the other the so-called trend setters want you under their influence.
At The Daily Influencer(TDI) you are on your own planet. You can see for yourself who is trying to influence you one way or the other. Beginning with the way the State Government is influencing our daily life there will be pointers in these columns on the major influences prevailing in all walks of life be it leisure, luxury, literature, health and entertainment.

It is better to be prepared for the harsh influences waiting for us in the big bad world. Ironically COVID-19 has shown that life after 2020 will never be the same. So let us be prepared for 2021, 2022 or any number in the series. As a beginning we at TDI are going to post all relevant releases made by the Chief Minister’s Office, various ministers and the Department of Information and Public Relations both in Telugu and English. No one has attempted this feat till now. (December 8, 2020). The idea behind this is to make it easier to evaluate the functioning of the Government.

The prime objective of this online publication (you may want to call it a website) is to inform the readers. We decided to make it bilingual so that language is not a barrier. Since space is no constraint like in the print media the entire statement or press release in whatever form == Word document, PDF, Epub or any other format available will be used. So TDI will not be like the average website with a set font and a good amount of curiosity maybe required from the visitors.

I am G Venkataramana Rao who has worked with two major publications — Indian Express and The Hindu — for over three decades and recently bowed out. I started as an apprentice sub-editor in the Indian Express and then was given an opportunity to report. I joined The Hindu as a Staff Reporter in the end of1993 and bowed out as the Deputy Chief of Bureau, Andhra Pradesh a month after COVID-19 began its onslaught. My son, Anirudh Goli, a software engineer, gave me the courage to come up with the website and helped in its development. I have written this in first person plural with the hope others will join us in this lofty endeavour.
